PETITION TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO:
STOP THE RAID ON SOCIAL SECURITY!

WHEREAS, Congress has been engaged in a shameful Raid on Social Security for more
than two decades; and

WHEREAS, if Social Security is not reformed to pre-fund workers' retirement, hardworking
Americans inevitably will face a cut in benefits, an increase in taxes, or an increase in the
retirement age to avert a Social Security crisis; and

WHEREAS, an annual surplus still exists after all Social Security taxes are collected and
paid out in current benefits; and

WHEREAS, Social Security surpluses and interest should be saved, not spent;

THEREFORE, I petition you to vote to Stop the Raid on Social Security and allow existing
program surpluses and Trust Fund interest to be saved and invested to pre-fund workers'
benefits to guarantee that all promised benefits will be paid.
